Hilde Schirmer, L.Ac, Dipl. O.M.
As the daughter of a physician, medical discussions were buzzing in her home from childhood, sparking in her a deep fascination with the body, medicine and health. After graduating from The University of Colorado in Boulder with a BA in Anthropology and Fine Arts, she went on to get her Masters in painting in London. Her art was all about the body, healing and interweaving Eastern Mysticism with Physics. With her fathers blessing in 2002, she found her purpose and passion in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Nutrition. She started studying Acupuncture in London at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and finished her studies in California. Hilde is deepening her knowledge of medicine by pursuing her PhD in TCM Gynecology and Pain Management at the American College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in San Francisco. Hilde specializes in pain management, women's health, digestive disorders, anxiety and depression, insomnia, weight loss, and facial rejuvenation. She also treats a wide range of health conditions such as hypertension, headaches, endocrine disorders, high cholesterol, auto-immune disorders, neuropathy, and circulatory dysfunction. Hilde has also been trained by Mary Elisabeth Wakefield and received advanced certification in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal.
