	Dr. Susanne Babbel, LMFT, Ph.D. Dr. Susanne Babbel moved from her native land of Germany to the U.S. almost twenty years ago. From an early age, she has been honored with the trust of others and their stories. She's an avid listener noted for her empathy and intuition. Her own personal development led her to become a psychologist with an emphasis on trauma and depression. Dr. Babbel gained her masters degree in psychology from John F. Kennedy University and later studied mind body therapy and psychology at the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute. She is a member of CAMFT, SFCAMFT, and USABP. She has been a guest lecturer for the California Institute for Integral Studies and has given presentations at various physical therapy and pain clinics on the topic of trauma and how it affects the body. Dr. Babbel currently writes regular articles about trauma and depression for Psychology Today, Examiner.com, and Women’s Radio Network, as well as her own blog: Growing Beyond Trauma. She sees clients for a range of issues, including but not limited to trauma, anxiety, and depression.
