Comprehensive treatment (Naturopathic medicine & Acupuncture)
Dr. Mitsuko (Mimi) utilizes both Naturopathic and Oriental Medicine (Acupuncture) therapies to help restore your health. You may be surprised that her first visit will take approximately 2.0 hours. This will allow thorough understanding of your conditions including history of your current health concerns, medical and family histories, laboratory work assessments, and social and emotional factors. She may also perform relevant physical examinations, and order appropriate laboratory works to fully understand your concerns. Based on this first visit, she analyzes your case in western, oriental, and naturopathic medicine perspectives. This comprehensive analysis leads her to formulate individualized treatment plan. The goal of the treatment is to restore your health and to prevent illnesses. This may require more efforts in both you and her, but the outcome of the treatments will be long lasting and more profound.
Follow up visit will usually take one hour. We will reassess the effectiveness of your treatment plan, and make modifications if necessary. In acute cases, we may request you to come back in two to three days to reassess your conditions as well as providing necessary treatments, and to resolve the condition as quickly as possible. In chronic cases, you may return in one to four weeks to assess your conditions. All of the treatments are tailored to each one of you, therefore, follow up schedules are all different. Both first and follow up visits include actual hands-on treatment like acupuncture & moxibustion, medical qigong, or therapeutic massages. The most appropriate forms of treatment are chosen to optimize your health. Before the visit:
Dr Mimi encourages you to download the intake forms and fill them before your first appointment. It contains a lot of information, however, those information become a great tool for both of you and her to see for the root cause, and restore your health. If you are unable to fill the information beforehand, please come to the office at least one hour earlier so that you can fill them before the actual treatment starts. Please also bring your most recent blood works and/ or any assessment made by other doctors as well as list of medications and supplement you are taking right now.
